Binstead Foreshore was the large area of the manors of Binstead and Quarr and Newnham on the Isle of Wight Estates between mean high water mark to the lowest limit of tides, from the boundary of Binstead with Ryde, near Binstead Cottage, to the bridge at Wootton Bridge. Because it usual for foreshore around the coast to belong to the Crown, this area was subject to a number of disputes over the years.
