Cottage at Rumbells Meadow was a cottage at North Stoneham on the Stoneham Estate. It was acquired by the Estate in 1848[1].

The previous year, the property had been advertised for sale by auction: 'A Cottage Residence, with large Garden, situate in the parish of North Stoneham, in the occupation of Mrs Houghton, at the yearly rent of 8l. 8s. 0d.; and also 5A. 3R. 2P. of Meadow Land, also situate in the last-mentioned parish, called Rumbells (adjoining the last-mentioned Cottage and Garden) in the occupation of Caleb Hammond Gater, Esq. at the annual rent of 9l. 2s. 6d.'[2]
