THE FUNERAL OF J. B. W. FLEMING, ESQ., took place on Saturday at North Stoneham Church. The hearse and mourning coaches were followed by the carriages of many of the resident gentry, and a number of the tenants, with others, joining in the procession. Amongst the mourners were–Mrs. Fleming (widow), Mrs Weston (her mother), Mrs. Cumming, Mr T. W. Fleming, Rev. A. Fleming, Mr. Long, Mr. Campbell, Rev. J. Davies, Rev. Canon Beadon, Rev. F. Beadon, Mr W. W. Bulpett, Mr T. B. Woodham (Under-sheriff), Mr W. Standish, Mr G. Errington, Rev. C. Dampier, Mr R. Hankinson, Sir A. Grierson, Bart., Mr. Cumming, Drs. Ward and King, and Messrs. Pink and Lambert. The coffin, having been removed from the hearse, was borne to the family vault by eight men in deceased's emply. The Rev. J. Davies, incumbent of Chilworth, officiated.
