From The Muniment Room, a resource for social history, family history, and local history.
Red Lodge Nursery was a plant nursery at North Stoneham on the Stoneham Estate. In 1821, Red Lodge Farm was leased to Joseph Thompson, a nurseryman of Romsey Extra[1]. When the rent was not paid for 1827, the Estate seized some of Thompson's property[2]. Following Thompson's bankruptcy, 40 acres of the farm, with a seedhouse, etc, were leased to William Rogers (W H Rogers & Son) in 1828.[3].
