Talk:Chilworth Farm

Hmm, I think there has been quite a bit of confusion (in my mind) between the different Chilworth Farms, and I probably added the names of tenants to the wrong properties. I need to look again at the sources for these, and check exactly what names for the farms were given. Admin 11:36, 30 August 2009 (BST)

I think it might be best to rename this page Manor Farm, and also change Chilworth Manor Farm to Home Farm? Admin 16:27, 30 August 2009 (BST)

Sounds good - in addition, how about:

  • Removing the RP tenancy link
  • Removing the entire para about RP
  • Moving the Francis Pack para to the new/renamed Home Farm page
  • Include a mention of Manor Farm aka Chilworth Manor Farm on the new/renamed Home Farm page
  • At some point (when our collective heads have stopped spinning..!) create a summary page giving a brief outline of the various name 'transitions' with approximate dates

Another thought - as we're talking about the farm close to the village, are any of the tenant names valid in relation to that farm ?? --johnf 16:54, 30 August 2009 (BST)

That sounds sensible. Admin 17:06, 30 August 2009 (BST)

I guess also that 'Upper Farm' and 'Lower farm' might well turn out to be Manor Farm and Home Farm? Admin 17:09, 30 August 2009 (BST)

Could well be the case. Barb is keeping an eye open for any refs to either. That's also the kind of info that the Chilworth Oracle may have... --johnf 17:34, 30 August 2009 (BST)

!!Problem - can't MOVE this form as the name already exists - according to the error message
