Chilworth Estate Cottages

In 1837, there were 14 cottages on the Chilworth Estate, of which 6 were let on leases for lives, 1 on a year-to-year basis, and 7 cottages held at will[1]. There was a small cluster of cottages at Chilworth Old Village. By 1913, there were 20 cottages; in addition there were a number of cottages in the grounds of Chilworth Manor[2].
